MonitorDog Update: Enhanced Windows Process Protection and Improved Uninstall Flow
Windows process handling has been strengthened. Even if the MonitorDog process is terminated, MonitorDog automatically relaunches to help maintain continuous monitoring.
Key Update Details
Changes in Version 1.4.0
• Windows Process Protection: If the MonitorDog process is terminated, MonitorDog automatically relaunches.
• Improved Uninstall Flow: Users must enter a confirmation value before uninstalling, helping prevent unintended removal.
• System Stabilization: Reported minor bugs have been fixed to improve overall service stability.
What has changed?
1. Windows Process Management
We improved the process handling logic so MonitorDog can be managed more reliably in Windows environments. While the device is running, MonitorDog remains active to help ensure security monitoring continues without interruption.
- Abnormal Termination Handling: Even if MonitorDog is force-closed through Task Manager or terminated because of an unexpected process issue, it automatically relaunches.
- Continuous Monitoring: MonitorDog detects process status and relaunches the process to reduce gaps in security policy enforcement.
2. Program Uninstall
An additional confirmation step has been added to the uninstall process. Users must enter the confirmation value shown in the uninstall popup before removal can proceed, reducing accidental or unintended uninstalls.
3. System Stabilization
Internal system logic has been reinforced to reduce the likelihood of unexpected abnormal termination and improve overall usability.
