What kind of solution is MonitorDog?
MonitorDog is a next-generation security solution designed to prevent technology leaks that traditional security tools cannot address. Beyond providing essential DLP functions, it uses AI technology to detect physical security threats—such as photographing screens with smartphones, unauthorized viewing by others (shoulder surfing), and access from unauthorized locations—thereby blocking data leaks at the source and strengthening user privacy.
How does MonitorDog work?
MonitorDog monitors user behavior in real-time using the PC's webcam and system events. Through AI analysis, it detects suspicious activities, such as smartphone recording, and immediately blocks the screen or issues a warning to prevent data leakage incidents.
Which operating systems does MonitorDog support?
MonitorDog is optimized for security-critical environments such as general corporate offices, government agencies, and research institutes. It currently supports Windows and Linux operating systems.
What are the system requirements for installing MonitorDog?
To ensure smooth AI analysis, MonitorDog requires a minimum of a 4-core CPU and 8GB of RAM. Additionally, a webcam (either built-in or external USB) must be connected to recognize user behavior.
Does MonitorDog work with all types of webcams?
MonitorDog is compatible with most standard USB webcams and built-in laptop cameras. However, support may be limited for some older models from specific manufacturers or cameras using special drivers. We recommend keeping your webcam drivers up to date.
What other behaviors does MonitorDog detect besides smartphone recording?
MonitorDog broadly detects and controls not only external visual hacking but also internal data leakage attempts. It detects and blocks physical threats like smartphone recording, unauthorized peeking, and user absence using AI. Additionally, it provides essential DLP features such as screen capture blocking, control of storage media (e.g., USB), and print log recording. Furthermore, it can prohibit the use of risky software like recording programs, remote control tools, and external messengers. It also provides robust security by immediately locking the screen if a user attempts to format or reset the PC. We are continuously expanding the range of detectable threats through updates.
Is the webcam always on when using MonitorDog?
Yes, the webcam remains active while the program is running for real-time detection. However, MonitorDog does not record video or transmit it to a server; all AI analysis is performed locally on the user's PC. Screenshots are collected only when a security threat is detected, so you can use the service with confidence regarding privacy and personal information. The webcam is automatically deactivated when the program is closed.
How does MonitorDog deliver notifications?
When a threat is detected, the user's screen is immediately blocked, and a warning popup appears to prevent further leakage. At the same time, a real-time security threat alert is sent to the administrator via email or the internal notification system, allowing security personnel to immediately recognize and respond to the situation.
